AUTO BILD test winner - Well prepared for the summer season

Bridgestones premium summer tires start the warm season with a test victory and a podium place from recently published tire tests! The Potenza Sport impresses with exemplary overall performance on both wet and dry roads. The renowned trade magazine AUTO BILD rightly named it the test winner for 2024.

The new Turanza 6 Enliten also celebrated an excellent podium finish in AUTO BILD's summer tire test this year. The new summer tread pattern with short braking distances, very good mileage and safe wet and dry handling was rated as "exemplary" by the experts.

Bridgestone Produces Tires from Recycled and Renewable Materials

Bridgestone is actively involved in manufacturing tires from recycled and renewable materials. For demonstration purposes, the manufacturer has produced 200 tires made up of 75 percent such materials. This includes synthetic rubber made from recycled plastics and natural rubber obtained from desert shrubs in the Arizona desert, USA. These demo tires are being tested in collaboration with automakers for the next generation of electric SUVs and crossover vehicles. The tires contain a variety of materials sourced from recycled and bio-based raw materials, including recycled monomers made from materials like plastic bottles. These materials, combined with recycled steel and bio-based and TPO-derived carbon black, constitute the synthetic rubber in the tires. Many of these materials are ISCC PLUS certified.
